Couples
I will have a brief call with you both on the line if possible so we can be on the same page together as to what the purpose is for your coming in for couple's therapy. Your relationship will be explored in what you already have that works and what areas each of you most would like to feel shifts in. Honesty. respect, and willingness to take turns expressing are crucial to bring in to sessions from the start.
What would you enjoy more of and what would you want to release in old circular habits of that affect your relationship? How do you feel about yourself when you are around the other person and when having individual time? What are the ways you would connect more deeply again, or in the first place?
Each partner or both members of the coupledom may have different perspectives, needs, or issues that are most important to get help with resolving or recreating ways of doing things in a fresh way.Much of my work with you will be about communication and the emotions that you may be stirring up for each other without meaning to, that are from much earlier in your lives than when you became involved as two.
Certain individual issues such as trauma, work, transition, health, self worth, or grief may be briefly explored separately in order to clear the way for you both deepening your bond while celebrating your individual growth.I will continue to encourage your bringing out into the open what you see in yourselves or I might notice that might be viewed by you both and re approached in a new light.I will support your relationship sustaining and growing richer, or your closing the relationship in the most amicable way possible if that is why you are coming in.
Find out about couples coherence, relational resilience, and healthier attachment styles Imagery can be included as guided processes for each and both of you.
I am open to redirecting the treatment as we see fit...sometimes discoveries are made that change the path.
Come on in, I welcome you. Together, we can find your guiding star.
